SPAM and Junk E-mail

ArdenNet does not solicit or sell any of our customer's e-mail addresses.  There are no simple solutions
to the growing problem of spam that all ISP's experiencing.  ArdenNet Internet Services hopes that the information and resources contained in this page will help you understand and reduce the number of unwanted messages. 

ArdenNet has set up some filters to trash undesirable e-mail.  Unfortunately spammers purchase sophisticated software that permits a person to send large numbers of messages to a particular domain (such as @AOL,  @yahoo.com or @ArdenNet.com etc.), even if the e-mail address are unknown
starts with 123, 234, 345, etc. or aaa, aab, aac, etc. when the e-mail address is invalid it "bounces"
back as undeliverable most of the time to a fake e-mail address that the sender may choose.  If the email address is valid, then chances are the spammers create a list and sell them.
