Netscape Mail says, "POP3 server response: Bad Login,
Please enter a new password."

(Note: This document is for Netscape 2.x and 3.x users, or those who are using Netscape mail.  Netscape communicator 4.x, by default, uses a different e-mail program.)

1. Open Netscape.

2. Select [Options] button from the Netscape pull-down menu.

3. Select [Mail and News Preferences].

4. Select the page heading [Server]

-Under Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server, type in your e-mail server
(i.e. smtp.ardennet.com / smtp.eg-ardennet.com).

-For the Incoming Mail (POP3) Server, type in your e-mail server
(i.e. pop.ardennet.com / pop.eg-ardennet.com).

-For "POP3 User Name", type in your login name
(i.e. i123456).

5. Select the page heading [Identity]
-Fill out the information requested on this page.
(Note: Use your e-mail address for "Your e-mail" and "Reply-to Address")
(i.e. youremailname@ardennet.com or youremailname@eg-ardennet.com)

6. Once you have finished, check your e-mail again by pressing the "Get Mail" button from the Netscape Mail tool bar. When asked, type in your login password. (i.e. 123ABC456A).
